DRIVING DIRECTIONS:

From Queens:

Take the Grand Central Parkway East to Exit 23 South for the Cross Island Parkway.

Continue on the Cross Island Parkway South.

When the parkway divides between the Southern State Parkway and the Belt Parkway, keep right and continue on the Belt Parkway.

Take Exit 24 for Merrick Boulevard.

Drive parallel to the parkway to the first traffic light and turn left.

The office is located at the second traffic light on the left at 1 Cross Island Plaza.

From Brooklyn:

Take the Belt Parkway East to Exit 23 for Sunrise Highway and Brookville Boulevard.

Take a left at the first traffic light.

Proceed straight down Brookville Boulevard until you reach Merrick Boulevard.

Take a right.

The office is located at the first traffic light on the left at 1 Cross Island Plaza.

From Eastern Long Island (South Shore):

Take the Southern State Parkway West.

When the parkway divides between Belt Parkway and Cross Island Parkway, keep left and continue on the Belt Parkway.

Take exit 24 for Merrick Boulevard.

Drive parallel to the parkway to the first traffic light and turn left.

The office is located at the second traffic light on the left at 1 Cross Island Plaza.

From Eastern Long Island (North Shore):

Take the Long Island Expressway West to Exit 31S for Cross Island Parkway (Kennedy Airport).

Continue on the Cross Island Parkway South.

When the parkway divides between the Southern State Parkway and the Belt Parkway, keep right and continue on the Belt Parkway.

Take exit 24 for Merrick Boulevard

Drive parallel to the parkway to the first traffic light and turn left.

The office is located at the second traffic light on the left at 1 Cross Island Plaza.

From Staten Island:

Take Verrazano Bridge to the Belt Parkway.

Continue on the Belt Parkway East to Exit 23 for Sunrise Highway and Brookville Boulevard.

Take a left at the first traffic light.

Proceed straight down Brookville Boulevard until you reach Merrick Boulevard.

Take a right.

The office is located at the first traffic light on the left at 1 Cross Island Plaza.

PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION:

Public Transportation is available via bus, subway, and/or train.

From Main Street and Roosevelt Avenue in Flushing: Take the Q17 bus to Archer Avenue and Merrick Boulevard. Then take the Conduit Avenue bus number Q5 to 1 Cross Island Plaza (Brookville Boulevard).

From Archer Avenue and Parsons Blvd in Jamaica: From the E, J, and Z subway stops, take the Q5 or N4 (Freeport Bus) to 1 Cross Island Plaza (Brookville Boulevard and Merrick Boulevard).

From Penn Station (NYC) or Jamaica Station:

Take LIRR to Rosedale Station. Exit the Station on Frances Lewis Boulevard and walk north to 241st Street. Turn right at 241st Street and proceed to 1 Cross Island Plaza, which is approximately 15 minutes.

Parking & Accessibility
PARKING: There is free parking available on the street. There is also a parking lot available across the street from the office. The parking lot entrance is located at the intersection of 241st Street and Merrick Boulevard.

HANDICAP ACCESSIBILITY: This office is handicapped accessible.

Asylum and Related Forms
Applications for political asylum or other asylum-related benefits are not filed at Asylum Offices. Follow the instructions on the application form you wish to file, and mail your completed application to the appropriate Service Center for initial processing.
